Dr. Michael Major is a board-certified orthodontist whose clinical work sits at the intersection of craniofacial development, sleep physiology, and interdisciplinary medicine. He is the Founder of Verve Orthodontics, CEO of Collaboration Dental, and the former Director of the University of Alberta Interdisciplinary Airway Research Clinic — where he led one of Western Canada's most advanced multidisciplinary pediatric airway teams for over a decade.
Over 20 years of specialist practice, Dr. Major developed a phenotype-based classification system for pediatric airway disorders — a framework built from the ground up through clinical observation, peer-reviewed research, and direct collaboration with ENT specialists, pulmonologists, sleep physicians, and pediatricians. It is the only system of its kind, and it is taught nowhere else in the curriculum.
